I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in North Carolina with 5+ years of experience working with teens, adults, and families. I am passionate about the benefits of therapy and the way I’ve seen it transform my clients’ lives. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside you in your journey to finding the wisdom you need to show up as you, fully and authentically, in your relationships.

My approach to therapy is hugely person-centered because I believe in fostering healthy connections with my clients that allow me to know who they are, how they came to this version of themselves, and who they want to be in the future. Every client has a story worth hearing. Using a systems perspective, I use the details from my client’s story to examine their worldview and help them to decipher its impact on their identity.

Hey ya'll!

This type of mental and emotional work often leads to change in my clients’ lives. As change occurs in our story, we naturally need to create a new narrative that better fits our evolving person. Creating this new narrative includes assessing and developing new thought patterns that lend to high emotional intelligence and healthy communication patterns. It is my philosophy that a healthy mind creates the space for healthy emotions. Healthy emotions then inspire fulfilling interactions with our loved ones and communities.

I work primarily with adults focusing on how they can cope with aspects of life such as anxiety, depression, navigating life transitions, grief, trauma, and relational concerns. I dedicate a large part of my work to serving minority communities and working with faith-based clients.

On a more personal note,

Did you peep the “y’all” in my greeting? I’m a southerner at heart, North Carolina, born and raised. I consider myself to be a professional student with a BA in Psychology with double minors in Child & Family Development and Urban Youth & Communities from UNC Charlotte. I received a MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pfeiffer University. Lastly, I’m currently getting my Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Regent University. My heart has always been to engage with and help others in the way I believe I was created to do. I am a huge people person and love hanging out with friends, shopping, going to the movies, traveling, and spending time with the love of my life.
